Simple Setup

Up and Running in 5 Steps

Assemble Tube

Extend the telescopic intake tube to match your drum’s depth. Rotate the joint counterclockwise to pull, then clockwise to lock.

Attach Hose & Nozzle

Connect the EPDM discharge hose and manual dispensing nozzle firmly to the pump motor head.

Install into Drum

Insert the intake tube into the drum hole. Screw the bung adapter into the drum opening to secure the pump.

Connect Power

Confirm the switch is OFF. Plug into a 110V AC outlet or connect to a 12V DC source. Both adapters are included.

Dispense Fluid

Place the nozzle over your container, switch ON, and squeeze the nozzle trigger. Release to stop. Never leave unattended during operation.

⏱ Duty Cycle — Important

Operation: 15 minutes ON, 15 minutes OFF. After 15 minutes of continuous use, switch the pump off and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before resuming. Failure to observe the duty cycle may cause motor overheating, reduced service life, or permanent motor damage.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Compatible Fluids & Applications

What fluids can I use with this pump?
Diesel & Biodiesel, Kerosene, DEF / AdBlue, Water-based fluids & Antifreeze, Detergents, Pesticides & Herbicides, Urea, and Light oils with viscosity up to 100 cSt.
Can I use this pump with gasoline?
No. Never use this pump with gasoline, corrosive chemicals, lacquer thinners, or any fluid incompatible with the pump’s Polypropylene and EPDM materials. Doing so creates a serious safety hazard and voids the warranty.
Can the pump handle thick or viscous fluids?
Yes — the pump supports fluids up to a maximum viscosity of 100 cSt. For heavier oils or fluids exceeding this threshold, a different pump is required.
Can I use this pump for drinking water?
No. This pump is not rated for potable (drinking) water. It is intended for the industrial and automotive fluids listed above.
Is this pump compatible with IBC totes?
Yes. A bung thread adapter (2″ to 2.5″ × 5mm buttress) is included in the package specifically for use with IBC totes. Note that the telescopic intake tube (max 49″) may not reach the very bottom of deep IBC totes.

Power & Electrical

What power sources are supported?
The pump supports two power sources, and both adapters are included in the box:

110V AC — standard North American wall outlet
12V DC — vehicle battery or portable power station

This dual-power design lets you use the pump both in the shop and in the field.
Does the pump have built-in electrical protection?
Yes. The pump includes built-in fuse protection to guard against electrical surges and overload. If the fuse trips, contact support before resuming operation.

Setup & Installation

Does it require assembly?
Minimal assembly is required — no tools needed. Follow these five steps:

1. Extend the telescopic intake tube to match your drum depth.
2. Attach the discharge hose and nozzle firmly to the pump.
3. Insert the intake tube into the drum and screw the bung adapter into the drum hole.
4. Confirm the switch is OFF, then connect your power source (AC or DC).
5. Place the nozzle in your receiving container and switch ON to dispense.
What drum size does it fit?
The pump is designed for standard 55-gallon (205 L) drums. A drum cover is included. The bung adapter also supports IBC tanks (2″ to 2.5″ × 5mm buttress thread).
How long is the intake tube?
The telescopic intake tube adjusts from 33.5″ to 49″, covering the full depth of a standard 55-gallon drum.
What is included in the package?
  • Electric Pump Motor Head × 1
  • Telescopic Intake Tube (33.5″–49″) × 1
  • EPDM Discharge Hose (2 m / 6.6 ft) × 1
  • Manual Dispensing Nozzle (¾″ OD Stainless Steel Spout) × 1
  • Bung Thread Adapter (2″ to 2.5″ × 5mm buttress, for IBC) × 1
  • AC Power Adapter (110V) × 1
  • DC Power Adapter (12V) × 1
  • Drum Plug Bung Wrench × 1
  • Drum Cover (55-gallon) × 1
  • Protective Gloves × 1 pair

Operation & Performance

What is the flow rate?
Maximum flow rate is 5 GPM (18.9 LPM) — one of the highest in its class. Actual flow rate may vary with fluid viscosity.
Is the pump self-priming?
Yes. The pump is fully self-priming — no manual priming required. Simply install, connect power, and start dispensing.
Does the pump have an auto shut-off?
No. Flow is controlled manually using the nozzle trigger — squeeze to flow, release to stop. The toggle switch on the motor controls power. Always switch OFF and disconnect power when you are done.
Does the pump motor keep running when the nozzle is closed?
Yes — closing the nozzle stops fluid flow but the motor continues to run. This is normal operation. It is essential to follow the duty cycle and never leave the pump unattended.

⚠ Never leave the pump running unattended during operation.
How do I stop the flow safely?
To stop dispensing, follow this sequence:

1. Switch the toggle OFF.
2. Lift the nozzle upward from the receiving container so residual liquid drains back into the drum.
3. Place the nozzle in the nozzle holder on the side of the pump.
4. Disconnect the power source.
What operating temperatures are supported?
The pump operates between 5°C and 40°C (41°F – 104°F). Do not use in freezing temperatures or direct high-heat environments.

Duty Cycle & Maintenance

How long can I run the pump continuously?
⚠ Duty Cycle: 15 minutes ON — 15 minutes OFF.

After 15 minutes of continuous operation, turn the pump OFF and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before restarting. Failure to observe this duty cycle may result in motor overheating, reduced service life, or permanent motor damage.
What happens if I exceed the duty cycle?
Exceeding the 15-minute continuous run time may cause the motor to overheat. This can result in reduced service life or permanent motor damage, and is not covered under warranty.
Does the pump have a filter to protect it from debris?
Yes. A built-in stainless steel inlet filter is integrated into the intake tube end cap to prevent debris from entering the pump mechanism and damaging the motor.

Safety

Is the pump safe to operate indoors?
The pump can be used indoors when handling compatible fluids (diesel, DEF, antifreeze, etc.). Ensure adequate ventilation, especially with aromatic or petroleum-based fluids. Never use with flammable solvents or gasoline in any environment.
Is the pump weatherproof?
The motor head and electrical connections are not rated for outdoor or wet conditions. Do not expose the pump to rain or submerge the motor head. For outdoor use, ensure the pump is protected from the elements.
What personal protective equipment should I use?
A pair of protective gloves is included in the package. Always wear appropriate PPE for the fluid being transferred, including gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing as recommended for that specific fluid.
